From my trip to Cornell for work this past weekend.
Kathleen made me hike 8 stories up the clock tower.
She made me watch the chimes concert where the person pushes these levers with their hands and feet to ring the bells above.

2009 marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China. Since 1949, enormous changes have taken place in China, and many events have gone down in history as a part of the national memory. China.org.cn presents a series of old photos to review the past 60 years.

When I got back, everyone kept asking why I didn’t stay for the Olympics. My answer was “it’s better watching it on TV.” But now that I’ve seen these pictures, I guess being at the opening ceremonies wouldn’t have been too bad.
More here or check out some weird Olympics photos.

In my high school Sunday school class, we would split into teams of guys and girls. Sometimes, the kids needed 3 groups and they’d split into guys, girls, and leaders. Apparently, leaders are neither guys nor girls.

Update (April 5, 2008): Everyone’s knows of his “I Have a Dream” speech, but check out his very last speech in Memphis, the night before he was killed. Part one and part two, which is especially powerful and moving.
