L is for Lil’ Flip Flops

lilflipflops L is for Lil Flip Flops

I’ve been taking a lot of pictures of kids and families lately, which is a little unusual for me. Anyways, not sure why I focused on her. I just saw and shot. Perhaps I could have refocused on the shoes AFTER taking the picture with this new camera.

I took the picture as we were coming in from playing outside in the yard. She’s balancing by holding onto my pants with her left hand. That’s 2-yr old talent right there.

45th Parallel North

IMG 8619 45th Parallel North

The 45th parallel of latitude is an imaginary line that circles the globe halfway between the equator and the North Pole. This same line passes through Minneapolis-St. Paul, Ottawa, Bordeaux, Venice, Belgrade, and the northern tip of the Japanese islands. In Yellowstone, it’s roughly aligned with the Montana-Wyoming border. [Via]

No, this image wasn’t taken in the 70′s. It just looks like a typical travel pic to me. Because I didn’t have my stormtroopers to take pictures of, I had to throw my shoe in there. I’m getting too old for that cuz I think I almost pulled something taking that picture. For some reason, I like to take random pictures of my shoes.

J is for Jumping Jen

It’s been a while since I’ve posted for my alphabet project. So I had to make up for it by using a double letter bonus.

Camera is sitting in Wyoming while I’m jumping in Montana. Taken inside the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. Side thought: why do my pants look so short? Time to do some shopping?

I Have a Thing for Orange

IMG 1740 5 I Have a Thing for OrangeNot sure why, but like the title says, I have a thing for orange. Remember this one?

Anyways, the bikes not even in focus and I chopped off his head and shoes, so nothing special about this picture but oh well. I like orange.

I still need to sell my bike. Maybe I need to wait until the weather gets a little better. Btw, that’s Kim and Melissa (students from 2010) in the background.

Ithaca

From my trip to Cornell for work this past weekend.

Kathleen made me hike 8 stories up the clock tower.

She made me watch the chimes concert where the person pushes these levers with their hands and feet to ring the bells above.

All in all, a fun weekend, despite having to give so many presentations. These work trips are definitely draining.
