Honesty, not perfection

I was reading day 12 in The Purpose Driven Life, and it said something like “God doesn’t expect you to be perfect, but he does insist on complete honesty.” I guess I was thinking that I feel the same way about my friends. I don’t expect them to be perfect, just that they be honest with me. For some reason, that’s always been the thing that makes or breaks the friendship with me.
