Man, I always thought only old people watched PBS. Now I’ve joined their ranks. I was watching their special on the Chinese experience in America. Even though I received a minor in Asian American Studies, I learned things I didn’t know before from watching part of that program.
So I’m Asian American. Many people would say that I am both Chinese and American. But I always feel caught somewhere in between, like I’m not fully Chinese, and I’m not fully American either. Not to mention, I have very little interest in learning about American history, yet I am fascinated by history of Chinese in America. Maybe because it’s more relevant to me. It deals specifically with my family’s past.

Our History teacher makes us watch PBS…but I always use to watch like Barney, Mister Rogers, Aurthor and more after I get cable I will be watching more of PBS.And yeah I agree I don't have much interest in learning American History thats why I just failed the class but my Asian American Immigration paper brought my grade up..
PBS is cool sometimes. I would have liked to see that special they had. I agree with you with that whole confusion about Chinese, American, Chinese American, not really Chinese, not really american, etc. Although, I do have some interest in American history. I think US History is just about as part of me as Chinese history is… (then again, I don't have to learn any of that, haha… it's all philosophy, and philosophy history for me)

hmm…i kinda of agree, the older i get now the more i watch shows on PBS. when i was younger i thought PBS was boring…now it's a different story, i love NOVA and all those travel and cooking shows !!!
PBS is kinda like eating dirt – toddlers do it and the elderly do it – well, I'm only thirty and I watch it on ocasion. Boredom makes you do crazy things.
