Valentine Frank Chu

Valentine Frank Chu

For my non-San Francisco/Oakland friends, this is Frank Chu. I talked to him for the first time and took this picture of him right before the San Francisco Pillow Fight last month. I couldn’t make it this year, but I was there back in 2007. I like how he was wearing a rose for Valentine’s Day.

Cougar Cadet

Edit: I know Dallas IS a big city, but maybe because they have so much space, they can spread out. Because when I was there, it didn’t FEEL like a big city with hardly any one crowded downtown.

After traveling to Ithaca and Dallas last month, I realized I missed the energy of a big city. Shot this today with Brad and Jeanne at Market and Powell where the Cougar Cadet Drumline was raising support. Oh, and the kids were REALLY good.

The Oracle

The Oracle

Cheap fun in Dallas: Head up to the 40th floor in the Chase Tower. Called the Sky Lobby, it’s free and open to the public Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.

Thanks to Sherry for taking me around, even though she didn’t really know where to go.

Gang of Four

Gang of Four

The Gang of Four was the name given to a leftist political faction composed of four Chinese Communist Party officials. They came to prominence during the Cultural Revolution (1966-76) and were subsequently charged with a series of treasonous crimes.

Not to worry, the Gang of Four in the image above is just a bunch of people who like to walk around the city with their cameras.
