Sacrod has tagged me with something I never should have gotten. It’s quite embarrassing actually, since I don’t read. Sad to say, I’ve only finished one single book in high school. It’s a wonder how I ever got into college, and graduated, for that matter. It was only after college that I started taking a liking to reading. Wait, I take that back. I thoroughly enjoyed reading books for both my major (and minor) in college. The answers to these questions are a bit redundant since I keep my “reading info” on the front page of this site.

1. Number of books I [have] own[ed]:
A LOT. My Life’s Little Instruction Book suggested to buy lots of great books, even if you don’t read them. When I move, I realize that most of my earthly possessions are either books or clothes.

2. Last book I bought:
The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference – Malcolm Gladwell

3. Last book I completed:
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time – Mark Haddon

4. Ten books that mean a lot to me. Hmm, I can’t think of 10, so here’s a couple that comes to mind:

1. Of course, The Bible – God
2. The Screwtape Letters – C.S. Lewis

5. What I’m currently reading:
The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference & The Rape of Nanking

Since I’ve been working with the high schoolers, my new favorite verse is Hebrews 13: 17 (and 18).

The company I’m currently employed at, works us like dogs, yet doesn’t want to pay us for it. We got a cheap CEO lady. A butt load of people have been resigning and since there aren’t enough of us, they’re working us like dogs, scheduling us for 10 hour days, and not giving us time for lunch or any type of breaks. This has got to be illegal. Why do I always find companies like this to work for?

By the way, I was blow-drying my hair this weekend when I smelled something “electrical.” It wasn’t burning hair, like I smell at times when I’m drying my hair, but this was awful. I was holding the hairdryer in my hand (and it was still on) when sparks started popping out of it. I stood there holding on to it like you do when you touch something extremely hot and it takes your brain a few seconds to realize that “oh my, this is hot.” And then the hairdryer just stopped. It had finally died on me. I can’t remember using another hair dryer besides this one so I’m a bit sad. I liked it because it was super small and powerful. Needless to say, it has served me well. Now I need to shop for a new one. When I washed my hair the day after, I totally forgot I didn’t have a hairdryer any more so I had to stay up late waiting for my hair to dry. Don’t you just hate when that happens?
