I recently encountered an issue on Android where I was trying use Cisco AnyConnect to log into a VPN but received an error. I was able to enter and successfully authenticate my credentials through the Chrome browser, but then received the following error: This site can’t be reached – localhost refused to connect (localhost:29786)

But somehow, I figured out how to make it work. Go to Settings > Apps > Special app access > Modify system settings, then select Cisco Secure Client, then select Allow modifying system settings. You may need to restart, but that seemed to do the trick and I’m able to log into the VPN.

Talk to me, Goose.
