Seven-Eleven Employee
I pulled into a 7-11 parking lot and went in to get my usual stuff. The guy recognized me from the last time and said hi. As I was getting my stuff, he noticed that I had a sticker from my school where I did my undergrad. He proceeded to share that he also went there for a period of time where he received his masters degree in French. He told me that he was going back to school in September to complete his PhD. That brings 2 things to my mind:
1. Never underestimate the people who work at 7-11’s.
2. Just because you have a degree in some sort of higher education doesn’t mean anything. (I guess it also depends on your field.)
If 2 is true, then I sure hope I picked the right field.
Side note, I got a chance to watch Dark Angel today (and no, I don’t normally watch this show). Guess who’s on the show? That guy from Step by Step–Cody. He was that dorky neighborhood guy. I found that interesting.
