  • Marc Silber from SilberStudios interviews one of my favorite SF photographers Thomas Hawk. After watching this video, I’ve decided I’m going to carry my camera everywhere.  Thomas Hawk does so he can reach his goal of publishing 1,000,000 photographs to Flickr before he dies. He just reached 30,000.

  • This presentation has made an impression on many people (cuz I keep seeing it). The original concept, from what I know, came from a 2006 Argentinean political ad (see the ad here). The “Lost Generation” presentation placed second in the AARP U@50 video contest. Thanks also to Dianne for the forward.

  • Poor quality video footage from Kathy’s phone.  Uncle David and Auntie Betty singing at the annual Thanksgiving luncheon. I remember the days they kept me up at night my house singing karaoke with my parents.

  • Work It Out

Some guy doing some funky moves with some crutches. Hey, looks like they’re the same company who did The Station Agent, a movie referral from CC. Edit: Check out v. 2 here.

  • Saw this in church today. Call+Response is a first of its kind feature documentary film that reveals a terrifying secret: there are more slaves today than ever before in human history. In 2007, slave traders made more money than Google, Nike and Starbucks combined. Call+Response goes deep undercover where slavery is thriving. First hand accounts…

  • I was watching this guy on TV several weeks ago. Pretty good ventriloquist with funny material. Personal fun fact: when I was young, I tried to pick up ventriloquism by reading books. I didn’t get very good, so instead, I learned to juggle.

  • For my pyro-student, Sheldon. At least this won’t get you in trouble with your policeman neighbor.

  • Mythbusters guy shows how the gases helium and sulfur hexafluoride each alter the sound of our voices in very different ways.

  • This is too funny. High five to Kurt for the link.

  • I’m glad to be home, but I sure miss traveling already.  Watching this video doesn’t quite help with it either…it’s so amazing.

  • In the company parking lot. No one came to clean up this cat that’s been dead for too long, so we took matters into our own hands, literally. Apologies for the poor quality…it was taken with my phone.

  • The new album comes out June 12th, just in time before I leave. Too bad I don’t have money to spend!

  • Pushers

It’s like packing luggage! High five to Amy.

  • Very clever…

  • British comedy group Idiots of Ants shows what Facebook might look like in real life. High five to Laughingsquid.

  • Don’t worry, no scary monsters will pop up.

  • The World is Awesome. I heart the Discovery Channel.

  • I never did like chemistry class, but this looks pretty cool. I hope Sheldon doesn’t read this. He’s one of my high schoolers who likes playing with smoke bombs.

  • Featuring the SuperEnvelope.
