Extra thoughts: I think that’s 2 people that I know who’ve committed suicide within a span of a year or so. So sad for the families.
For the longest time, I realized that at our church, no one really talks to each other. A lot of the people I consider my “close friends” are at church, yet we really don’t talk with each other. I had a good talk with one of my friends, who no longer attends our church, and she said that she felt sad for me because everytime she talked to me, it just sounded as if I had no support. No one I really go to when I need prayer or need to vent. People from my church are good play buddies. We play together and hang out and stuff, but no one really talks about anything too deep. Even my prayer partner is no longer because there are “other things” she needs to tend to.
During lunch on Sunday, I mentioned that I was having a bad day. My friend said that she’s been grumpy all week as well. She told me how she found out that one of her high school friends had passed away. I had also found out about another couple whose brother just passed away the day after the couple got married. She said that was the same in her case. Apparently, we each knew one of the brothers of the guy who passed away. Such a small world. Shouldn’t we share more with each other so we can pray for things such as this?
Since Sunday, I’ve been feeling a little under the weather. Well, how can you not when you live in the Sunset. I called in sick yesterday and slept through most of the day, but my throat is still sore, my whole body aches, and my left nostril is still plugged up. I woke up this morning and felt really hot, so I went to take my temperature: only 97.9. Man. I should go to work since I hate making up hours that I miss, but I feel like the sleepening since I haven’t had any coffee since Sunday. As I was about to wash up, I get a call saying the kid (who I’m supposed to work with for 5 hours today) is sick. Yes. (Bring in the bright light and angels singing a chorus).
Now I get to stay home, sleep, and learn about high-speed photography.
