Weekend Review
On Friday, we celebrated Caleb’s FIRST birthday party. Let me tell you, that kid has so many toys! It was fun watching him help open the gifts by pulling on the wrapping.
Good thing I did worship on Sunday, or else I probably would have been late because I didn’t have my alarm clock (aka Melissa). After church, I got a chance to hang out with Cindy and some friends who came up to visit from Santa Barbara. We walked around downtown a bit, and spent a lot of time at Urban Outfitters. They have some crazy fun stuff there. We found this and thought this was funny.
Hmm…maybe it isn’t so funny that they’re mocking the Lord. Oh, I also forgot to mention that for Lent, I will be praying for one person each of the 40 days. I put people’s names on slips of paper will be picking one out each day. I’ve never done something active like this for Lent before. I’ve always just “given up” something. Hopefully I’ll be able to focus more on intercessory prayer during this time.
Too bad I have class today. Apparently, my school thinks that Cesar Chavez Day is more important than President’s Day.
